2 days ago, i went to Snip Avenue with my sis and mum. My aunt has told me all about its renowned $4.80 hair cut. They are now on 50% anniversary sale, hair cut is $2.80 NOW. Incredible?
So we decided to try it out. After seeing some really nasty comments on forums, i decided to just do some hair treatment while mum wanted to conceal traces of age - white hair.
For her, its a monthly deal. So we decided to go try since all services is half priced. I'm officially broke for the month, so i decided to give the hair colour a miss and settle for a hair treatment (it won't go too wrong, isn't it?)
It's $28 for a mud spa thingy. Miss lala and i decided for that. The procedures? See pictures!
Miss lala's solo expression is hilarious. I decided a look like a Pie maker.
Mummy dearest, is still young in our hearts.
Fathers' Day. For my Daddy.
He taught me to be a honest person. To be a strong girl and the spirit of perseverance. To handle stress. To learn the meaning of being pampered by a daddy. To know how important this family is to me. To understand how much he loves me and this family.
Appreciating how he can just step in my room smiling, telling me "take it easy" for school or "how are you today?".
Despite all the different waves of family woes or happiness that we experienced, I'm still proud of him as my dad and i do adore him. :))
Yesterday must been the highlight of the week, although it hasn't end. Because i got to see my best friend from BNSS again, her name is Kailing. For those who are closer would have know who is she or heard about her.
We go a long way back, since i was 13. When i almost made it to TAF club, despite entering that F**k club thereafter, she never really left my side. She was a really quiet girl had uber long, straight and silky hair and i look like an insane woman talking and laughing a crazy lot next to her.
Guess what, my dear? I have pictures of us those days! waha. I don really like the idea of it being here either, but i still want to post. hur. And doing a time check, our friendship 'sailed' for 9 years till date. She's right, it isn't gonna end. (we both know.)
She says I'm a Cassanova when it comes to having multiple best friends. Truth is, i told her i do have many good friends, but the best friends that i can really count on are those i can count with my fingers only on a hand. KL:to others you might be other numbers, but when it comes to friends, u're my #1 because you are one friend that i know the longest and am still close to. :)
Despite that angry post on friendship the other day, i know a friend like her is gonna be kept throughout different life stages. She's gonna be with me when i study like crap while she work hard at her job, when i graduate and we travel the world together, when we both get married to The One, when we both get to have children, when we both get old and grey and still catching up old times.
One who can live life together with me as a friend, just listening to my woes/bitching, tell me/her everything without any fears, calls you immediately when she sensed something is wrong from my sms (just like today ;) ), understands how hard i work for school and my kind of person, sensitive to my feelings, tells you right in the face "of course, i care for you, you're my best friend." making everything else seem easier to bear even i don't see her very often. (ok we are working on a meeting at least once a month thingy. hee.)
I know. She'd be there. :) We share from scrunchies, to PE tshirts to how our bra cups grow to deep secrets we bury in our hearts. I love spending every minute when i get to meet her. Despite however shock she gets when i reveal my secrets to her, she'd always find a way to tell me its okay and that she doesn't judge me at all. I love her for that. =)
She made this collage last night after we left for home. I'd made her one when i get those pictures from her. :))
My bestie. With new kuku fringe she calls it. Sweet like a lolly!
Yea. Me and panda fetish. Its v nice to hug these fellas. and F***king 70 bucks! Nuts!
Us on e escalator. :)
Photostickers that we liked so freak much last time.
Yes, 2003 as printed on the card print. Its called Lovegetty machine, issit not? i told u she had really long hair, right?
Those BNSS girls. Till date, only KL stood by the test of time out of the 14. But tmrw, i'm gonna see few of them cause the one on the top extreme left (Yuli) is coming back from Aussie. (so is Belle. =D )
We went Art Box at TM yesterday, we got stuck there for damn long cause like me she wanted to buy a scheduler for next year (i got mine some time back alr) and those cutey notebooks. While myself, i wanted to get a diary as well. Oh yes, those freaking pandas in the shop are darn lovable, please! I told the sales girl, her shop is a jinx to my bank account.
When i say diary, i meant literally life journal kind of diary, those conventional take-a-book-out-every-night-and-write kind. Offline blog. Cause there are many times i want to blog very much but its just to tedious to get into mum's room switch on the modem, switch on the computer, wait for it to start up and load blogger, log in and type a whole chunk and then off the computer, wait for it to shut down, off the main switch (dad's save electricity scheme) go into mum's room and off the modem's main switch again.
Hell, this process is alr too long for words, what more do it every night or day? And the thing about blog is, you know people read and of course you want nuffnang to know. But those diaries are those u can really write what you want, think or feel inside. Not that i am not truthful about what i say here. But you know. The personal space of speech. I still am going to blog though. :)
Other reason why i decided to get a diary is because the other day while i was doing the holidays-must-pack-room regime, i found my handwritten diaries from 1999 to 2002 or 2003 can;t remember. And i started this blog in 2005. 2004 was a bad bad year, mummy says. Yea. Mainly household issues and family woes, that is.
So while reading those old diaries, i laughed so hard my tummy ached. Those secondary and primary school days, the liaox (omfg) and silly things you thought matter the world to you, you write. Big or small issues, you print it on paper. It's hilarious. I even wrote, "If i die one day, Stella (my sis) will get to read this diary." LOL! But in 2008, i decided to let her read still, she had the same laughter at my language, spelling errors and very much the sole content. hahah! It's interesting and delightful to know how you have eventually grow up and those books meant childhood memories as well.
Then on, i decided, i will write again. Daily a not, depends on my fatigue level. But i will write the conventional diaries again.
The chosen diary for Year 2008 after a lot of persuasion from KL (because she's the pink and sweet girl but i am so not.) and picked from at least 5 other potential ones that i wanted from that shop.
A little pricey for a diary but its printed every freak page and in different colours.
P.s: Kailing started blogging to the world to see too, she's on my links on your left!
Last week was fun packed week. Got to meet up many people and had loads of fun catching up. :)
Let's start off with the girlies. Athey and Ru. We finally met up after all our crappy summer courses. Athey wasn't feeling too well. So we spent time talking and eating non stop at 2 different places - The Big O and Sakura. :)
The chocolate breast. Inside: Fresh blended durian. F-delicious.
Baileys Cheesecake. Can't really taste the baileys, think its the durian's fault. But i don't mind.
Typical Ru's creation. The cutesy type. haha. I like the picture with her though! :) Ru: rmbr to send the rest of the pictures ay!
The girls that i had a brilliant time working together and we do produce a high degree of standard of work.
The other gathering was with the greatly missed Hubbers. We decided to go to WeiJia's house to swim. The new condo at Bayshore. Its called coasta del sol (if i am not wrong). The swimming pool was fantastic. Plus many ang moh babies. Very very adorable. Best part? They have a separate 4m diving pool with 3 different levels of diving board!
I had such a great time with them. Their company are just fabulous. We had Carl's Jr after that and went a beach stroll then decided to Kbox @ marina. Puts a smile on my face still when i think about that day. :) More pictures with Sam's camera, so i'll upload the next post. :)
Baby and me went back to TP to eat again. :) This time, biz park! oei! haha. I missed those crazy freshman cheering times.
HOR fun v tasty HOR.
Na's favourite lunch mate as well: Tom yum soup. :)
Some Pictures of campus during the summer course.
After the DP architects talk. :)
TP marketers persevere!
Since baby completed his exams, so we were left with a few days that we can have our holidays together, before he heads back to work in Nord Bank. :)
We Went to changi beach after a very filled tummy from steamboat with his pals.
(Pictures from left): see the warm welcoming light but you don't die, SQ airline over our heads, it is NOT UFO. :)
The latest completed serial? 少年杨家将 (aka: the young yang warriors) I don't normally watch shows that are in donkey years setting. But I got so addicted to this. Perhaps i had that sense of relativity, since i'm a Yang too.
The show made me laugh and cried like a little girl. Javien said maybe 500 years ago you belong to that family. haha. The mummy of the all the warriors is one who is very brave, can cook and fight. I hope to be her one day. But i don't think i want to give birth to 8 children. haha!
The pretty and brave Yang Mummy.
Its still showing on weekend nights on channel U if i am not wrong. Brief story: In the Song Dynasty, the yang family spearhead the entire Song military to protect their country and emperor against their enemies. Of course there were the bad ones who is the other right hand man of the emperor- The Pan family. So Yang Ye (Yang family's father) was a great soldier and he was the general who was uber loyal to the emperor while Pan was the prime minister who was that bugger who distort facts to the emperor and desires for his throne.
The serial went on with each character development with their love lives and family ties. Pan over and over again making things difficult for them. At the very end, all 5 men of the Yang family died (including the Dad - general) in war, leaving 2 other brothers, all the sister in laws and the youngest sister alive.
The general and his 2 children in the battle.
The 2 other brothers then reformed the military and had another battle with their enemies. The mother and sisters in law trained into great soldiers and enter the battle field together with the rest of the army against their enemies. (they were at the front line, mind you.) I like their armour. Like samurai. :) So yeps. The sequel's 杨门女将 (The female Yang warriors/ heroines) where they continue to safeguard their country after all their husbands eventually die.
Before i going into that, I'm watching sex and the city season 2. :D Will complete the entire 6 seasons by the time school officially opens again.
